The History of IVC Brunel
Our heritage can be traced all the way back to 1865. With long established presence as a producer of health supplements, IVC Brunel has cemented its position as the UK’s largest nutritional supplement contract manufacturer.
Our roots go back to 1865
We started out supplying grains to the brewing industry as English Grains, before progressing to manufacturing yeast tablets from grain-by-products.
Tablet Division
In 1969 a tablet making division was established and began producing a range of nutritional and herbal supplements.
Purpose Built Facility
In 1996, we constructed our first purpose-built facility in Swadlincote, Derbyshire.
Capacity Expansion
In 2014, to support our continued growth we opened a second facility just 500m from our main site. This site became our dedicated packing facility.
Softgel Manufacturing Capabilities
2015 marked a major milestone with the launch of our in-house softgel manufacturing capabilities. This expansion broadened our portfolio and introduced a new format we are actively continuing to develop and invest in.
IVC Acquisition
In December 2016, we became part of the IVC family which has seen us continue to invest significantly in our facilities, people and infrastructure to underpin our capacity for future growth.
IVC open German Sales Office
In 2018, IVC opened a German sales office to ensure in-country support for our German private label retail customers.
New Distribution Warehouse
The opening of our new distribution warehouse in 2019 marked a major step forward in optimising our finished goods logistics, further supporting our growth and capacity
New Packing Facility
In 2021, we completed the purchase of a new packing facility, strengthening our operational capacity for packing and shipping.
